The calendar for the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship has been approved today in Paris by the FIA World Motor Sport Council. The calendar will feature eight races of varying lengths starting at Silverstone in the UK on the 1st September and concluding at Le Mans in June 2020.

In the traditional Pre Event Press Conference six drivers gathered after Free Practice 1 to answers questions from the international media ahead of this weekend’s 6 Hours of Fuji, Round 4 of the 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship.

Toyota continue to improve the times around the 4.5km Fuji Speedway, with Fernando Alonso lowering the best time of the day by nearly two seconds for the Japanese team.

The first track session of the Japanese round of the 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship saw the no8 Toyota Gazoo Racing TS050-Hybrid set the fastest time of the 90 minute session. In a session that was interrupted by a red flag period to repair a broken kerb, Sebastien Buemi set a 1m25.847 lap of the Fuji Speedway track, with the Kamui Kobayashi in the no7 Toyota just 0.534 seconds behind.

Ahead of the 6 Hours of Fuji, Round 4 of the 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship, the Endurance Committee has announced revisions to both the Equivalence of Technology (EoT) for LMP1 cars and Balance of Performance (BoP) for the LMGTE classes.

Fuji International Speedway is the home track for Toyota and while many of the drivers on the grid will be instantly recognisable to the Japanese fans that flock to the track in the shadow of Mount Fuji, such as Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button, it is the home grown heroes - Kamui Kobayashi and Kazuki Nakajima - that they will all want to see during the seventh edition of the 6 Hours of Fuji, Round 4 of the 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship.

On Sunday 14 October the seventh edition of the 6 Hours of Fuji will receive the green flag to begin round 4 of the 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship.
