After two intense days of track activity The Prologue, the FIA World Endurance Championships official pre-season test, has been completed. Toyota Gazoo Racing topped the timesheets at the end of the 16 hours of track time in Barcelona.

The entry list for The Prologue, the official pre season test for the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship, has been revealed with 30 cars taking part in two days of testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 July.

LMP1 Jose-Maria Lopez (#7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid, Toyota Gazoo Racing) was leading the race but tripped up while braking at Mulsanne and ended up in the gravel. Just behind in the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid, Kazuki Nakajima seized his chance and moved out front. In third and fourth place, the #11 and #17 SMP Racing BR Engineering cars are both one lap behind the Japanese cars.

The 87th Edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans started under grey skies but on a dry track. After six hours of racing it was the two Toyotas that held the top two spots. Rain did arrive later in the race, with a light shower providing the competitors with some tricky conditions.
