The no8 Toyota Gazoo Racing trio of Fernando Alonso, Kazuki Nakajima and Sebastien Buemi got their 2018/19 Super Season title challenge off to a perfect start with a lights to flag victory to claim maximum points at the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Alonso brought the TS050-hybrid home just 1.4 seconds ahead of the no7 Toyota driven by Mike Conway after a last hour safety car eroded the Spanish driver’s large lead.

Round 1 of the 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship, the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday 5 May, will see a record-breaking 37 cars for an FIA World Endurance Championship 6 Hour race with 10 cars in LMP1, 8 in LMP2, 10 in LMGTE Pro and 9 in LMGTE Am.

The FIA World Endurance Championship’s official pre-season test, The Prologue, returns to Circuit Paul Ricard at Le Castellet in the south of France on 6/7 April, with Saturday the 7th being open FREE to fans, including access to the paddock and a pit walk.

On Friday 9 February the grid for the 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship was revealed in Paris. Included in the mammoth 36 car grid is the LMGTE Pro class which will feature 10 cars from five manufacturers – Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Ford and Porsche – who will all be fighting for the FIA World Endurance GT Championship.
