In a concerted effort to improve road safety for children, FIA Member Club Emergency Assist 991 (EA991) and the Botswana Department of Road Transport Services have implemented the iRAP’s Star Rating for Schools (SR4S) methodology. As part of the FIA Safe and Sustainable Mobility Grants Programme 2024 and supported by the FIA Foundation, this initiative addresses the high number of pedestrian road traffic accidents involving children and adolescents aged 5-20, with 475 incidents recorded in 2021.

The Road Safety Institute (RSI) "Panos Mylonas", in collaboration with Olympia Odos S.A., successfully organised the "Pit Stop for Road Safety" event for the fourth consecutive year. Held on June 14th, at the Motorists Service Station (MSS) of Megara, this initiative aimed to enhance driver awareness about the importance of vehicle maintenance and safety checks ahead of summer excursions.

The Automobile Association Vietnam (AA Vietnam) proudly announces the launch of the fourth phase of its successful anti-drink driving campaign, The Power of No, starting in July 2024. This initiative, which began in 2020, has already completed three successful pilot phases, reaching over 44.5 million people across seven ASEAN countries, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, and recently Indonesia.

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) launched a new initiative promoting safe, high-quality helmets. The FIA has committed €300k to supporting 6 projects in the first year of the campaign. As part of the launch, National Autosport & Karting Federation of Uzbekistan (NAFKU) conducted a group training session during the Conference, covering both safe driving theory and practical driving exercises. Two Uzbek food delivery services, Express24 and Uzum, signed up for the training sessions.
