The first press conference of the 8 Hours of Bahrain weekend, the final race of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship, saw six drivers answering questions ahead of the first free practice session

With all of the driver titles in all five classes still to be decided, and a maximum of 39 points on offer at the end of the 8 Hours of Bahrain, the calculators may well be getting very hot on Saturday evening during the final race of the 2021 season.

Kazuki Nakajima, a founding member of Toyota Gazoo Racing and an endurance racing legend, will stand down from a FIA World Endurance Championship race seat after this weekend’s 8 Hours of Bahrain.

The post qualifying press conference was attended by the four drivers who set the fastest lap in each class during qualifying for the 6 Hours of Bahrain.

The #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid Hypercar was the fastest car in the qualifying session for round five of the 6 Hours of Bahrain, which takes place tomorrow.

The #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid Hypercar was fastest in the final free practice session for round five of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship, the final session before qualifying for the 6 Hours of Bahrain which takes place at 16h30. Porsche head both LMGTE classes once again, with the #28 JOTA taking the top position in LMP2 for second consecutive session as air temperatures sizzle at 34.3 degrees Celsius!
