SANTALUCÍA GROUP ACHIEVES FIA ROAD SAFETY INDEX HIGHEST RATING WITH SUPPORT FROM FIA MEMBER CLUB RACE AND FUNDACIÓN RACE
The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motor sport and the federation for mobility organisations worldwide, announced at Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, that Santalucía Group, one of Spain’s leading insurance and financial services companies, has successfully achieved a 3-star rating — the highest available — under the FIA Road Safety Index, with the support of the FIA Member Club the Real Automóvil Club de España (RACE) and Fundación RACE.

Developed by the FIA, with the support of its charitable arm, the FIA Foundation, the FIA Road Safety Index is a pioneering framework that helps organisations worldwide measure, manage, report and improve their road safety footprint across operations and supply chains.
Santalucía Group’s rating reflects its comprehensive road safety policies and its focus on employee and customer well-being, with road safety objectives fully integrated into its sustainability and governance frameworks. It recognises the company’s leadership in managing road safety and fostering a culture of safe mobility across all operations.
The company’s proactive approach was supported by Fundación RACE through an extensive audit and advisory process. Fundación RACE played a key role in preparing Santalucía Group for the FIA Road Safety Index, guiding the company through every step of the rating process. This collaboration exemplifies how FIA Member Clubs can partner with organisations and drive measurable improvements in corporate road safety performance.
FIA Head of Road Safety and Global Advocacy Luca Pascotto said, “At the FIA, our mission is to empower our Member Clubs to drive safer, more sustainable and more affordable mobility for everyone. The collaboration between Santalucía Group and RACE and Fundación RACE highlights the key role our Clubs play in transforming a global framework such as the FIA Road Safety Index into locally relevant action, guiding organisations of all kinds towards higher safety standards, stronger risk management and ensuring lasting meaningful change at scale.”
RACE Fundación Director and RACE Public Affairs Director Ignacio Fernandez said, “Fundación RACE is proud to have supported Santalucía Group in making the most of the FIA Road Safety Index rating process – achieving an excellent result while identifying clear opportunities for further commitment. This collaboration reflects Santalucía’s dedication to continuous progress and leadership in road safety.”
Santalucía Head of Wellness and Health Juan Carlos Sáez said, “The FIA Road Safety Index 3-star rating recognises Santalucía Group's excellence in road safety management. This international recognition validates our commitment to safe and sustainable mobility and motivates us to continue leading best practices across the sector.”
