The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motor sport and the federation for mobility organisations worldwide, today announced nine additional FIA Member Clubs who are adopting the FIA Driver Safety Index to benchmark, measure and manage driver risk across their operations. 

Measuring and comparing driver risk has often been fragmented and inconsistent. The FIA Driver Safety Index provides a global platform for organisations to benchmark their road safety progress and assess the likelihood of their employees being involved in a collision on the road. 

Built on Greater Than’s AI model, trained on over 20 years of real-world driving records across 106 countries, the FIA Driver Safety Index supports organisation to make driver risk understandable, comparable, and actionable across multiple operations, geographies and vehicle types.  

With nine additional FIA Member Clubs adopting the FIA Driver Safety Index this month, the number of Member Organisations implementing the model across their operations or promoting the solution locally has doubled since the start of 2026.  

Through the FIA Driver Safety Index, participating organisations can upload their own driver data to track their progress, support proactive, data-driven road safety strategies, and accelerate safer mobility practices throughout their value chain.

The nine FIA Member Clubs newly adopting the FIA Driver Safety Index are: the Automobile Association of South Africa (AASA), the Automóvil Club de Chile (ACCHI), the Automóvil Club de Costa Rica (ACCR), the Libyan Automobile & Touring Club (LATC), the National Automobile Club de Tunisie (NACT), the Oman Automobile Association (OAA), the Palestinian Motorsport and Motorcycle Federation (PMSMF), the Reial Automòbil Club de Catalunya (RACC), the Royal Automobile Club of Jordan (RACJ).
