The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motor sport and the federation for mobility organisations worldwide, announced at the NCAP25 World Congress that Giti Tire, a leading global tire company, has achieved the top 3-star rating under the FIA Road Safety Index for its operations in China.

Developed by the FIA, with the support from its charitable arm, the FIA Foundation, the FIA Road Safety Index gives organisations worldwide a structured and data-driven methodology to assess, manage, report and improve their road safety footprint.

Giti Tire’s 3-star rating recognises the company’s exceptional performance in systematically managing its road safety footprint across its Chinese value chain. It confirms that Giti Tire’s road safety policies and procedures are fully aligned with international best practices, including efficient reporting mechanisms such as requiring all direct logistics suppliers to notify the relevant Giti business department of any fatal or serious road traffic crashes within 48 hours.

As part of its ongoing commitment to road safety, Giti Tire took the initiative to engage with the rigorous FIA Road Safety Index methodology. This process provided valuable insights that helped refine internal policies and targets around driver safety, vehicle procurement, and supply chain oversight – contributing to safer workplaces, operations, and road environments across China.

Giti Tire confirmed it will leverage insights from the China rating process to progressively expand implementation to other key global markets, including Indonesia, Singapore, and the European markets, ensuring a unified and gold-standard approach to road safety worldwide.
