The 2016 season of the Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth is at the halfway point: in fact, the round in Mugello will be the fourth round of seven.

The championship rankings are in any case still wide open, and this will make the three races as interesting and hard-fought as ever, even more so given that everyone will be very well prepared thanks to the official test session held at this very circuit on Wednesday, 13 July.

All of the weekend’s races award points for all championship rankings: overall ranking, Rookie Trophy, Women and Teams trophies. At the moment, the following are the top five ranked drivers: Marcos Siebert, Mick Schumacher, Raul Guzman, Mauricio Baiz and Job Van Uitert.

The Rookie Trophy sees Kush Maini in first place, followed by Simone Cunati, Lorenzo Colombo, Ian Rodriguez and Giacomo Altoè. Leading the Team rankings is Jenzer Motorsport, ahead of Prema Power Team, Kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport, Formula DR and Antonelli Motorsport.

Race 1 and Race 2 will have a duration of 28 minutes plus 1 lap, while Race 3 will be a sprint lasting 18 minutes plus one lap.

Specifically, the programme includes two rounds of free practice on Friday: at 9:45 to 10:20 am and 1:10 to 1:50 pm; the qualifications, divided into two shifts are scheduled, again on Friday, at 5:30 pm and 5:55 pm (both lasting for 15 minutes). Race 1 will be run at 13:55 pm on Saturday, while Race 2 and Race 3 will be run on Sunday at 9:00 am and at 5:20 pm, respectively.

The races will be broadcast live on Sportitalia (channel 60 of the digital terrestial and channel 225 of Sky) and on national TV. Motors TV will instead provide coverage in over 40 countries worldwide through a programme lasting 24 minutes, broadcast the week following that of the race weekend and in which the most significant moments are relived.
