ERT - Three Weeks to the ERT Final in Portugal

The countdown to the final of the 2018 European Rally Trophy on 16-17 November is already underway.

The cream of the Europe’s rally talent from seven regional championships will gather in Praia da Rocha in southern Portugal to go head-to-head during the Rallye Casinos do Algarve to find out who will be crowned the best of the best. 

The road to Portugal has been a long one.  In total thirty-three regional rallies are held across seven zones in 2018, with crews competing in three different classes - ERT, ERT2 and ERT3 – with an ERT Junior class for competitors born on or after 1 January 1990. 

The European Rally Trophy is made up of competitors from seven regional zones, which are the Alpine Rally Trophy, the Balkan Rally Trophy, the Baltic Rally Trophy, the Benelux Rally Trophy, the Celtic Rally Trophy, the Central Rally Trophy and the Iberian Rally Trophy, with the European Rally Trophy final in the Algarve being held on home soil for many of the ERT crews.

The top five competitors in each class from the seven regional zones are eligible to enter the 2018 European Rally Trophy final ensuring the best crews from each region will be fighting for top honours in the Algarve.

Competitor registration for the European Rally Trophy final closes on Monday 5 November, with the entry list being unveiled on Tuesday 6 November. 

The Rallye Casinos do Algarve gets underway on Wednesday 14 November with reconnaissance over two days. Scrutineering and admin checks take place on Thursday 15 November, with the start of the first leg of the rally taking place on Friday 16 November and concluding on Saturday 17 November.
