Digital Innovation Transforming Iranian Tourism Rallies
The Touring & Automobile Club of the Islamic Republic of Iran (TACI) has taken a major step toward modernising national tourism rallies with the launch of its ‘Semi-Automated Tourism Rally Management System’. Debuting during a commemorative rally event in Tehran, the system represents a significant advancement in the utilisation of digital infrastructure during their national mobility events.

Designed to streamline tourism rally operations, the new platform integrates QR-based checkpoint logging, automatic time recording and real-time data processing to provide a streamlined and accurate event management system. This end-to-end digital oversight reduces reliance on manual procedures while enhancing accuracy, fairness and transparency for competitors. The pilot event demonstrated how digital tools can elevate both operational efficiency and the overall experience for participants and spectators alike.
The system’s debut was very successful. By digitising key aspects of tourism rally management, TACI is laying the groundwork for broader adoption of new and emerging technology across their mobility events.
With this initiative, TACI reaffirms its commitment to aligning national tourism rally practices with international benchmarks for safety, accuracy and operational transparency. The organisation plans to transition toward full automation in the near future following this successful test event.
