The FIA's Action for Road Safety is a global campaign, focusing the federation's resources on helping its member organisations around the globe to educate and advocate for safer roads, vehicles and behaviours.

American Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association (ADTSEA) awarded grant for programme that reaches driver education instructors.

The Motor Sports Association (MSA) UK, a member of the FIA, has launched the 2015 MSA/FIA Action for Road Safety Film Studies Competition, supported by the FIA Road Safety Grant Programme. Young Britons aged 16 to 24 are invited to submit short films highlighting one of the FIA’s 10 Golden Rules for Safer Motoring.

The second day of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship pre-season tests at Valencia represented an additional challenge for the 34 drivers involved in the action. In the morning session, rain was falling and the tests at the 4.005-kilometre Circuit Ricardo Tormo had to be contested in wet conditions. In the end, nobody was able to out-pace the rookies Charles Leclerc (Van Amersfoort Racing, 1:29.534 minutes), George Russell (Carlin, 1:30.016) and Callum Ilott (Carlin, 1:30.588 minutes). Gustavo Menezes (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin,1:30.645 minutes) was the fastest of the experienced drivers and finished fourth on the time sheets.

Since its launch in 2011, the FIA Action for Road Safety campaign has been enthusiastically championed by the motorsport community and well-known figures including Sebastian Vettel, Emerson Fittipaldi, Michael Schumacher, Sébastien Loeb, Yvan Muller and Monisha Kaltenborn who have fiercely backed the campaign’s simple message of safer motoring and safer road use.
