Mark Webber and Brendon Hartley took a fourth FIA World Endurance Championship pole position in the No.17 Porsche 919 Hybrid at Shanghai this afternoon.

Porsche continued to conduct the pace at Shanghai International Circuit during the final Free Practice session this morning.

After trailing the two Audi R18s in the first 90-minute Free Practice session of the 6 Hours of Shanghai weekend earlier today, the two Porsche 919 Hybrids returned to the top of the timing screens with the no17 Porsche of Mark Webber, Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley posting the quickest time of the day.

The first track session of the 2015 6 Hours of Shanghai weekend ended with the no7 Audi Sport R18 e-tron quattro as the quickest car in the 90-minute session.

Round 7 of the FIA World Endurance Championship will take place on Sunday 1 November.

Porsche celebrated another 1-2 finish after an action-packed and eventful sixth round of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship at a wet Fuji Speedway today.

Mark Webber and Timo Bernhard, driving the No.17n Porsche 919 Hybrid, took an excellent pole position for the sixth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship at Fuji Speedway.

Following the close of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship season in Bahrain, the WEC and its LMP1 manufacturer partners Audi, Porsche and Toyota will hold an official ‘Rookie Test’ to offer up-and-coming drivers the opportunity to get behind the wheel of an LMP1 hybrid car.

Porsche sounded another warning of its scorching pace during the third and final Free Practice at Fuji this morning in readiness for the sixth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship tomorrow.
