Following last year’s event staged behind closed doors, the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans, scheduled from August 21-22, is set to welcome fans.

Following May’s season-opening event at Spa-Francorchamps, marking the beginning of the Hypercar era in the FIA World Endurance Championship, the championship moves south for its second round, to race on Portuguese soil for the first time, at the world-class Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

Ferrari has officially announced its partnership with AF Corse to collaborate in the management of the team that will work alongside Competizioni GT in the manufacturer’s Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) programme, starting in 2023.

The provisional entry list for round three of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship, the inaugural 6 Hours of Monza held from July 16 - 18, features a healthy line-up of 38 cars across four classes.

Next month the FIA World Endurance Championship will visit the Algarve International Circuit for the 8 Hours of Portimão (11-13 June). It marks the first time that the FIA WEC races on Portuguese soil since the inception of the championship back in 2012.

The Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps saw history made with the first Hypercar victory going to Toyota, with the #8 Toyota driven by Sebastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Brendon Hartley taking the chequered flag for Round 1 of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship.

After the two 10-minute qualifying sessions the four class pole position holders for the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps headed to the press conference room.
