Nicolas Lapierre, winner of back-to-back Le Mans 24 Hours in the LMP2 category for the last two years and current standings leader in the FIA World Endurance Championship, is one of a host of top-level drivers to have competed at the Macau Grand Prix.

The Frenchman, who won the event at his first attempt in 2003, argues that even when compared to iconic venues like Monaco, the Macau Grand Prix circuit provides the ultimate challenge and reward for racing drivers.

Speaking of the latest generation of single-seater races who will contest the newly-inaugurated FIA F3 World Cup on 19-20 November, Lapierre said, “You will for sure see the Macau winner later on in his career. It’s good to follow the young kids there, and the show is spectacular.”
