SJM Theodore Racing by PREMA driver targeting Macau GP victory

Chinese F3 star Guanyu Zhou is looking forward to what he calls his ‘home’ race this coming weekend as the SJM Theodore Racing by PREMA driver takes on the FIA F3 World Cup at the famous Macau Grand Prix (15-18 November).

Speaking to the FIA in an exclusive video, he said “I’ve been looking forward to this race since the beginning of the season. It’s kind of a home track for me racing in China in front of my home fans, and at such an historic track.”

The talented racer finished his regular campaign with a flourish after taking victory at Hockenheim in the FIA F3 European Championship, and now he bids to become the first Chinese driver to win the Macau GP.

“It’s mean everything if you win this,” he continued. “This is one of the biggest and hardest events in racing

“(If I was to win it) I would be really proud and that is the target for this year.”

Guanyu Zhou is part of a stellar 28-car capacity grid for the 2018 FIA F3 World Cup in what looks like one of the most competitive line-ups in years. Action gets underway with practice on Thursday and runs through to the final race on Sunday with the official FIA website keeping you up to date throughout the week.
