Following the Volkswagen diesel-emissions scandal, the AAA are testing the on-road fuel consumption and emissions of 200 new cars. The AAA have found variations of more than 50% when comparing the vehicle’s “real-world” performance with its laboratory result. This costs consumers and the environment. By producing consumer information that otherwise does not exist, this Program will change purchase decisions, save motorists money, and reduce emissions.​
