2015 FIA Mobility Conference - Preview

10.09.15
The 2015 FIA Mobility Conference will be held from 15-18 September in London

The annual event brings together FIA Member Clubs from all over the world for a week of presentations, discussions and meetings on the latest trends of the automotive sector and the ideas and best practices of automobile clubs.

This year’s conference will focus on connectivity, in continuation of the 2013 and 2014 Conferences, and its motto, “Keep Calm and Stay Connected”, which is a spin on the famous World War II British poster, also evokes this theme. The programme will revolve around the new opportunities and questions raised by the progress of smart cities and urban mobility, foreshadowing the future of mobility.

A number of experts have been invited to give keynote speeches during the week, including David Rowan, editor-in-chief of WIRED magazine’s UK edition, Robin Chase, co-founder and former CEO of Zipcar, the largest car sharing company in the world, Greg Lindsay, an expert on globalisation, urbanisation and innovation, and Curt Steinhorst of The Center for Generational Kinetics.

The Conference is being hosted with the support of EuroRAP, iRAP, the Road Safety Foundation and the FIA Foundation, as well as FIA members the Automobile Association (AA), the Camping and Caravanning Club (CCC), the Caravan Club (CC), the Royal Automobile Club (RAC), and the Institute of Advanced Motorists driving road safety (IAM).

The FIA is also proud to announce Pirelli as the Conference’s global partner. Pirelli is the Official Tyre Supplier to the 2011-2016 FIA Formula 1 Championship, the 2008-2010 FIA WRC and the 2011-2012 FIA WRC Academy.
