1,200 Helmets Distributed to Strengthen Road Safety for Students in Thailand
Supported by the FIA, the AIP Foundation has distributed 1,200 certified helmets to students in Thailand as part of its SafeGuarding Futures helmet-wearing initiative.

Last month, the AIP Foundation hosted the final helmet handover ceremony as part of its SafeGuarding Futures: A Helmet-Wearing Initiative for Young Road Users project in Thailand.
A total of 1,200 helmets were distributed between four target schools in Thailand between November 2025 and January 2026, with 300 helmets provided to each school. The four schools, each a Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) secondary school, were identified as being in areas of highest need, due to their high risk of road-traffic crashes.
The project was implemented in partnership with FIA Member Club, the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand (RAAT) Under Royal Patronage and the Academic Subcommittee on Safe Road Users under the National Road Safety Center.
Taking place at Wat Lat Phrao School, the final ceremony aimed to motivate students and teachers to observe road and helmet safety practices and further strengthen collaboration with local leaders following the earlier distribution of helmets last year.
Throughout the ceremony, students heard key presentations from the RAAT and AIP Foundation on their road safety initiatives and goals. The ceremony also shared the winning videos from the project’s social media awareness competition, and presented a trophy to the four target schools in recognition of their efforts to promote road safety for their students.
