The 2012 FIA GT1 World Champions received their title trophies and the plaudits of the international motor sport community at the annual FIA Prize-Giving Gala, held in Istanbul this evening.

The FIA honoured the 2012 World Endurance Champions during the FIA Gala in Istanbul, Turkey, surrounded by the other champions from world motor sport.

The 2013 FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship Calendar comprises 13 Events

The winners of this year’s GT1, WEC, WRC, and WTCC competitions took part in an informal ecodriving race before the annual FIA prize giving ceremony. Unlike a usual race, the purpose on this occasion was to be the most energy efficient driver.

FIA Institute Deputy President Garry Connelly yesterday revealed details of the organisation’s new Environmental Accreditation scheme.

In Istanbul yesterday, the FIA Foundation put the accent firmly on road safety, with Chairman Tim Keown highlighting the crisis by saying that during the body’s three-hour meeting 136 children would die on the world’s roads.
