2019 World RX of Great Britain - Qualifying 4

Monster Energy RX Cartel’s Andreas Bakkerud took a Sunday morning sweep of qualifying times in the Dayinsure World RX of Great Britain, round four of the FIA World Rallycross Championship with another quickest time in Q4.

Norway’s Bakkerud won Q4 race four by taking the hole shot and lead at turn one from pole position, in front of Team Hansen MJP’s Kevin Hansen, who finished P2 in the times. Third quickest time was claimed by GRX Taneco’s Joni Wiman with a race three win.

TQ (Top Qualifier) at Silverstone is taken by Hansen MJP’s Timmy Hansen, with P4 in Q4 even after contact with GCK Academy’s Cyril Raymond at the first corner. Hansen will take pole position in semi-final one this afternoon, joined on the front row by brother Kevin. Pole in semi-final two will be taken by Bakkerud, with Wiman alongside.

The semi-final one grid will be completed by GC Kompetition’s Anton Marklund and Guerlain Chicherit on row two, with ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport’s Timo Scheider and GRX Taneco’s Timur Timerzyanov on row three.

In semi-final two, Monster Energy RX Cartel’s Liam Doran and EKS Sport’s Krisztian Szabo will start on row two, with Team STARD’s Janis Baumanis on row three, joined by Xite Racing’s Oliver Bennet, who makes it into the semi-finals for the first time in his World RX career. Due to problems in his Q4 race, Raymond just misses out in P13 in the Intermediate Classification.
