  • Three new nations set to join the calendar for 2026.

Following the approval of the World Motor Sport Council, the FIA has today unveiled the 2026 FIA European Rallycross Championship calendar. Rallycross fans across the globe can expect a spectacular six‑round season, featuring high‑intensity racing at some of the sports most storied and iconic circuits.

The 2026 campaign kicks off in Northern Europe with the Euro RX of Latvia (09‑10 May), as the legendary Biķernieki track plays host to the opening round. At 1.295km, Biķernieki is one of the longest rallycross tracks in Europe, and its abrasive surface and demanding layout will provide a true technical test for Europe’s leading rallycross talents.

The series then moves to the Euro RX of Hungary (30‑31 May), with the iconic Nyirád Racing Centre once again reverberating with the roar of internal combustion engines as the “Red Cauldron” delivers its trademark atmosphere. Following Hungary, the championship heads north for the Euro RX of Sweden for the ‘Magic Weekend’ at Höljes Motorstadion (04‑05 July), one of the most celebrated events in the sport.

The midpoint of the season marks an exciting milestone, as the European Rallycross Championship returns to Ireland for the first time since the 1990s with Mondello Park hosting the Euro RX of Ireland (18‑19 July), bringing the championship to a nation with a proud rallycross heritage and passionate fanbase. Following a short summer break, the penultimate round takes place on the legendary Lohéac Circuit for the Euro RX of France (29‑30 August), as the venue returns to the calendar for the first time since 2021. Often described as “the jewel in the rallycross crown,” Lohéac the world’s biggest rallycross event will once again provide a spectacular stage for drivers chasing championship glory.

The 2026 season then concludes in Lousada with the Euro RX of Portugal (12‑13 September). Long regarded as one of rallycross’s most atmospheric venues, Lousada will take on the role of season finale, having hosted the opening round in 2025. Its return as the closing event ensures the season will end in fittingly dramatic style.

FIA Road Sport Director Emilia Abel welcomed the new calendar, stating: “The 2026 FIA European Rallycross calendar marks a major step forward, bringing the sport back to the most iconic circuits in rallycross history. These legendary venues are all instantly recognisable to fans across the globe, and I am confident both spectators and drivers will be thrilled to see Europe’s finest rallycross talent compete on the tracks that have defined the sport.

From the start, our vision for rallycross has been shaped by listening to teams, drivers, organisers, and most importantly - the fans. The 2026 calendar reflects this approach, combining iconic circuits with exciting new additions in regions where rallycross has a strong national following. This calendar presents fresh challenges while celebrating rallycross history.

With an incredible calendar in place, free-to-access coverage and a world-class broadcast package, I am certain the 2026 season will deliver an unforgettable chapter of rallycross action for fans all over the world”
