Hosted by FIA Member the Touring y Automóvil Club Paraguayo, the FIA American Congress 2025 brought together 114 participants from 34 FIA Member Clubs across the Americas to exchange experiences and address key regional challenges and opportunities.

The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motor sport and the federation for mobility organisations worldwide this year hosted the FIA American Congress 2025 in Paraguay. Held in Asunción, and opened by President Santiago Peña and FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the congress was a flagship event on the international mobility and motor sport calendar, bringing together delegates from over 30 countries across the Americas and hosted by the Touring y Automóvil Club Paraguayo (TACPy).

- FIA announces support for road safety projects in 13 countries across the Americas through the FIA President’s Development Fund and FIA Foundation, targeting key road safety priorities. - The projects are the result of the FIA Safe Mobility 4 All & 4 Life programme, an FIA University capacity-building initiative delivered by United Nations agency UNITAR with FIA Foundation support. - The programme supports FIA Member Clubs and government authorities in building safer transport systems through training, mentoring, measurable actions, and the creation of a strong community of practice.

President Santiago Peña and FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem have officially opened the FIA Congress, welcoming delegates from across over 30 countries of the Americas. FIA President Ben Sulayem: “Here in Paraguay, and across the Americas, mobility and motor sport are evolving rapidly, it is truly inspiring to witness.” The flagship congress will focus on the theme of Safe Mobility and Motor Sport in the Americas.
