The no1 Rebellion Racing R13-Gibson completed a perfect weekend for the Swiss team with their second overall win of the season from pole position in the 6 Hours of Circuit of The Americas, Round 5 of the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship.

The eight drivers who claimed the four class pole positions sat in the post qualifying press conference to answer questions from the international media.

The no1 Rebellion Racing R13-Gibson secured pole position for the 6 Hours of Circuit of The Americas tomorrow with Gustavo Menezes and Norman Nato putting in an average lap time that was 1.6 seconds faster than the two Toyota TS050-Hybrids.

The no1 Rebellion Racing R13-Gibson was the quickest car in the second 2-Hour practice session in Texas with Gustavo Menezes posting a 1m48.804 lap, over a second set by his own best time set in the FP1.

The first 2-hour Free Practice session at the Circuit of The Americas in Texas saw the no1 Rebellion Racing R13 finishing 0.175s ahead of the no8 Toyota Gazoo Racing TS050. Gustavo Menezes set a 1m49.957 lap against a 1m50.132 set by Sebastien Buemi. Championship leader Mike Conway, in the no7 Toyota was only able to set the 9th fastest time of the session with a 1m52.460, 2.5 seconds behind the leading LMP1s.

Round 5 of the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship will be held at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas on 22-23 February. This will be the sixth visit by the WEC to the Lone Star State and the eighth race in the United States of America. The WEC will return to the US in March for Round 6 at Sebring in Florida, the third time that the WEC has raced in the Sunshine State.
