The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motor sport and the federation for mobility organisations worldwide this year hosted the FIA American Congress 2025 in Paraguay. Held in Asunción, and opened by President Santiago Peña and FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the congress was a flagship event on the international mobility and motor sport calendar, bringing together delegates from over 30 countries across the Americas and hosted by the Touring y Automóvil Club Paraguayo (TACPy).

- FIA announces support for road safety projects in 13 countries across the Americas through the FIA President’s Development Fund and FIA Foundation, targeting key road safety priorities. - The projects are the result of the FIA Safe Mobility 4 All & 4 Life programme, an FIA University capacity-building initiative delivered by United Nations agency UNITAR with FIA Foundation support. - The programme supports FIA Member Clubs and government authorities in building safer transport systems through training, mentoring, measurable actions, and the creation of a strong community of practice.

The FIA European Drag Racing Championship moves to Germany for one of the season’s most prestigious and most attended events, the NitrOlympX, now in its 38th edition. The competitions will be held from August 29–31 at the legendary Rico Anthes Quartermile of the HockenheimRing. With the title battles still extremely close, the third round of the 2025 season promises to deliver another weekend of spectacular action in front of a crowd of passionate fans eager for thrills. Last year, NitrOlympX broke its attendance record, with more than 45,000 spectators.
