25.11.16
Yesterday in Geneva, FIA President Jean Todt, who also serves as UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety, met with Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to discuss road safety issues

"Safe mobility is essential for better living standards; it must be seen as part of human rights. Everyone should have the right to a safe journey, whether it is to go to school or work or to go home." stated Jean Todt.
They both encouraged all countries to ratify key UN transport conventions that govern key aspects of road safety: traffic rules, vehicles regulations, transport of dangerous goods.
