Former FIA EHRC Champions Mats Mysell and Esko Junttila ended the day in the lead of the Rallye du Chablais, Round 3 of the FIA European Historic Rally Championship.

Round 3 of the 2022 FIA European Historic Rally Championship will be held in Switzerland, with the Rallye du Chablais making its debut on the FIA EHRC calendar on the 2 nd to 4 th June. Thirty-five entries have been received by the organisers, with twenty-one competitors eligible for championship points. All of the current championship leaders after Round 2 in the Czech Republic will be competing in Switzerland.

After finishing third at the end of the first leg of the 30 th Historic Vltava Rallye, the no1 Audi quattro of reigning Category 3 Champions ‘Zippo’ and Denis Piceno posted the fastest overall time on four of the seven stages to take the finish 23.8 seconds ahead of the no6 Lancia Rally 037 of Ville Silvasti and Risto Pietilainen, the Finns securing the Category 4 win in the Czech Republic.

The no5 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 4x4 of Tibor Erdi Jr and Zoltan Csoko finished the opening day of the 30 th Historic Vltava Rallye 11.9 seconds ahead of the rest of the field after a day that saw many cars retire from the rally.

Round 2 of the 2022 FIA European Historic Rally Championship will be held in the Czech Republic, with the 30 th Historic Vltava Rally being the host event on the 5 th to 8 th May. Forty-six entries have been received by the organisers, with thirty-six competitors eligible for championship points.

Nine new entries have been received since the opening round of the 2022 season in Spain, with the entry list now standing at 53, with more expected in the coming weeks. The 2022 entry has already exceeded the total last season, which stood at 48 when the list closed in July 2021.
