The 11th Rally de Asturias Historico begins this week (23-25 May) and is Round 3 of the FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship.

With two days of top class rally action on eleven special stages in the picturesque Spanish countryside in and around Pravia, there is plenty of opportunity to see some of the fantastic cars from the golden age of rallying in all their glory.

The Rally de Asturias Historico will begin with the ceremonial start in the Plaza Conde Guadalhorce de Pravia at 20h30 on Thursday 23 May, which will be the first opportunity for the public to see the contenders for top honours in Spain.

The rally action begins on Friday 24 May, with two venues hosting the first four special stages.

‘Cudillero’ will host SS1, with the first car due to take the start at 15h41 on Friday afternoon.  The competitors will be back to tackle the 13.27km ‘Cudillero’ stage again at 18h46 for SS3.

‘Hotel Rey Silo’ will be the venue for SS2 and SS4, with the first car due to take the start on the 12.2km stage at 16h13 and 19h18 respectively. At the end of SS4 the competitors will head to Parc Ferme in Pravia for the night.

On Saturday 25 May there will be three venues for the seven special stages that will complete the rally and determine who will take the finish ramp in Pravia as the class winners.

The first stage of the day is SS5 (start time 11h18) which will take place on the 13.04km ‘Pravia’ stage.  This stage will also be run twice more for SS8 (15h20) and SS11 (17h47).

SS6 (12h04) will be run on the 12.4km ‘Salas’ stage, with SS9 also taking place later in the afternoon at 16h06.

At 9.72km ‘Soto del Barco’ is the shortest of the five stages used during the Rally de Asturias Historico and is the venue for SS7 (12h46) and SS10 (16h48).

After the final stage at ‘Pravia’ is completed the competitors will head back to Plaza Conde Guadalhorce de Pravia for the finishing ceremony.
