The Chinese Taipei Automobile Federation (CTAF) had the opportunity to promote road safety at the "Road Safety Carnival", a large-scale road safety event hosted by the city of Taiwan, from August 2-16.

Due to the global impact of Covid-19, the Chinese Taipei Automobile Federation (CTAF) had to place restrictions on its activities. Nonetheless, CTAF had the opportunity to be invited by the Information Bureau of the Taichung City Government to participate in the "Road Safety Carnival", a large-scale road safety event hosted by the city of Taiwan, from August 2-16.

Under the sponsorship of the Lihpao International Racing Park, CTAF prepared many games to allow participants to learn more about the road traffic signs and markings. About 3,000 visitors participated in the event and 2,000 3-12 year-old children visited the CTAF stand.

The Club promoted the FIA #3500LIVES Campaign’s Golden Rules and spread the campaign’s messages to participants.

CTAF Deputy Director Richard Lee said: “This is a great opportunity to cooperate with the Taichung city hall. Through cooperation with government agencies, not only we can promote road safety, but also strengthen the position of our Club in Taiwan.”

“In terms of future projects, we are working on the 'Difference of Radius between Inner Wheels for Vehicles' project, together with a junior high school, the traffic division, and the Taichung City Police Department. Through training sessions, students are shown the safe distance between inner wheels of large vehicles, so that they can apply their knowledge outside of school.”
