From 7-25 February 2019, the Itinerant Education for Road Safety Program was held by the Automóvil Club Argentino (ACA) in the city of Punta Mogotes in Mar del Plata, province of Buenos Aires.

Launched in 2008 with the support of the FIA Foundation and local authorities, the Itinerant Education for Road Safety programme aims at raising awareness about the risks on the road among children and students, but also adults, teachers, municipal traffic inspectors and police officers, and provides authorities with concrete tools to address road safety at a national level.

During the activities, training was provided on the correct use of the Child Restraint Systems (CRS), and other safety elements for children to travel safely inside a car.

For this purpose, the ACA used its mobile classroom, where specialized staff made practical and theoretical demonstrations on the correct use of the CRS. In addition, the youngest children were able to attend the Transit Park for Children, where they were able to experience in a playful way the roles that everyone can take on public roads.

The activities took place over 7 days of the week.
