DID YOU KNOW IT?

11 May 2008 – The circuit was inaugurated by hosting a round of the Argentine Turismo Carretera championship. The winner of this opening race was Emanuel Moriatis at the wheel of a Ford run by Lincoln Sport Group.

29 June 2012 – After a radical rebuilding based on design by Italian Studio Dromo directed by Jarno Zaffelli, the circuit was presented in Assen, Netherlands, as the new home of the Argentine Motorcycle Grand Prix.

4 August 2013 – The visit of WTCC marked the first international motorsport event at Termas de Río Hondo. Yvan Muller won the first race, while local hero José María López created a surprise by winning the second race on his first appearance in the championship.

27 April 2014 – The circuit hosted the Argentine Motorcycle Grand Prix for the first time. Spanish riders dominated the Moto GP race: Marc Márques (Honda), Dani Pedrosa (Honda) and Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) filled the podium.
