Formula 3
FIA Formula 3
Formula 3 has an incredible history spanning seven decades and fostering some of motor sports most famous talents. World Champions Nelson Piquet, Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, Mika Häkkinen, Michaël Schumacher, Damon Hill, Jacques Villeneuve, Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Sebastian Vettel all revealed their talent in Formula 3.
Today FIA F3 retains that ethos as an essential step in the single-seater ladder, with rules introduced in 2016 to ensure that fresh, young talent is taken in regularly. Ten rounds at some of the most iconic circuits across Europe test future stars to their limits, with huge potential prizes for those who succeed.
FIA F3 provides an ideal place for drivers to learn control and perhaps even more significantly how to set up a car, with enough scope in the settings for driver input to make up a key part of any successful campaign.
