FIA ETCR eTouring Car World Cup
SEASON 2022
FIA ETCR eTouring Car World Cup
New for 2022, the FIA ETCR - eTouring Car World Cup is the world’s first all-electric, multi-brand touring car series. The most powerful touring cars ever built take part in events run to innovative format featuring a series of short, sharp Battles, in which drivers accumulate points and build towards the SuperFinals.
Based on WSC’s ETCR technical concept, the cars deliver peak power of 500kW (670hp) with energy stored in Williams Advanced Engineering-supplied battery pack and fed through Magelec Propulsion gearbox, motor and inverters. BrightLoop converters transform voltage for low-power items while the charging process takes a car from zero to full battery in under an hour at paddock-based Energy Station.
