WorldRX - Kristoffersson snatches TQ in Canada

2018 World RX of Canada - Trois-Rivières - Qualifying 4

Sweden’s Johan Kristoffersson stormed to quickest time in Q4 at the World RX of Canada, round seven of the FIA World Rallycross Championship to take TQ (top qualifier) position by one point from day one leader Sebastien Loeb.

PSRX Volkswagen Sweden’s Kristoffersson won Q4 race three to repeat his quickest time from Q3 and will start semi-final one from pole position this afternoon. Team Peugeot Total’s Timmy Hansen chased Kristoffersson for the Q4 race and was second quickest, he will start on the front row of semi-final two next to team mate Sebastien Loeb, who was sixth quickest in Q4.

PSRX’s Petter Solberg took the third best time in Q4 with a lap one joker and is third in the Intermediate Classification. He will join team mate Kristoffersson on the front row for semi-final one. EKS Audi Sport’s Mattias Ekstrom won Q4 race one after a DNF (Did Not Finish) in Q3 in front of Loeb and was fourth quickest. He will start on the second row in semi-final one next to GRX Taneco’s Niclas Gronholm. The Finn won Q4 race two and was fifth quickest. Olsbergs MSE’s Kevin Eriksson and GRX’s Timur Timerzyonv will complete the semi-final one grid, Timerzyanov climbing into the semi-finals with eighth time in Q4.

EKS’s Andreas Bakkerud and Team Peugeot Total’s Kevin Hansen will line up on row two of semi-final two. Team STARD’s Janis Baumanis and OMSE’s Robin Larsson will complete the grid. GC Kompetition’s Jerome Grosset-Janin is first reserve ahead of the semi-finals should any of the top 12 not make it to pre-grid.
