“It was a nice lap in a nice car with low fuel and new tyres and at night it is always challenging so it feels good. It is never easy to go out on to the circuit and find the references but I did a good lap. I think there were a couple of tenths available here and there so I thought a 1m39s lap was possible but not this time.”

“It was great to be coming away from qualifying in P1.  The car was great, it was much better than yesterday where we were struggling a bit.  The team just did a great job turning the car around and we just tried to put everything together in one lap.  Of course there are things here and there that can be optimised but I was very happy with my lap and in the end the car was great to drive. I am happy to come away with one more point.”

It felt really good and the team is working really well because after practice one we were a bit lost and we were missing some pace. We skipped the test of last weekend and the track has evolved a lot with much more rubber on it but we have now managed to find a really good car.”
