Did you know that before every FIA World Endurance Championship event, FIA Race Director Eduardo Freitas plus his assistant Lisa Crampton and FIA Driver Adviser Yannick Dalmas make a meticulously detailed tour of the track?

At Le Mans, this is a great collaborative effort between these FIA officials, the ACO’s own officials, and a small number of drivers from different categories.  They are able to offer feedback to those based in Race Control from the point of view of their cockpit on approaching speeds, braking, overtaking, and many other areas.

Safety is paramount in racing, and no one takes it more seriously than all the people in this image:
