WEC - FIA World Endurance Championship Ready For Track Action at Super Sebring

The FIA World Endurance Championship’s return to Sebring International Raceway for the first time since 2012 has caused plenty of excitement and after two days of testing at the weekend the paddock is now ready for Friday’s highly-anticipated 1000 Miles of Sebring.

Track action begins this afternoon at 15h00 (local) / 20h00 (CET) with the first of two 90-minute practice sessions, concluding in the dark at 21h15.  Thursday sees the third and final practice at 16h15 with qualifying at 21h30 beginning with LMGTE followed at 10h00 by the LMP competitors.

The 1000 Miles of Sebring will get underway at 16h00 on Friday 15 March, with the chequered flag due to be shown at midnight.

The FIA WEC’s first transatlantic journey as part of the Super Season has seen a healthy entry with no fewer than 34 cars across four categories representing more than 20 different nationalities.

Racing alongside FIA WEC this weekend will be the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championshi,p which will stage its annual 12 Hours of Sebring race on Saturday, with 11 WEC drivers taking to the wheel once again.
