All FIA Member Clubs can now apply to the 2024 President’s Awards

The FIA will aim to achieve equal opportunities for women and people with disabilities by 2040 These new goals strengthen the FIA’s existing Sustainability Roadmap, which promotes a dynamic approach to achieving net-zero. The announcement came as part of the FIA’s 120th anniversary Conference, currently taking place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan

It was the first time that WCAMT has gathered in 2024, following on from their meeting in December 2023.

Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) is inviting drivers from around the globe to participate in its first mini Smart Driving Challenge of 2024. The event coincides with the FIA’s 120th Anniversary Conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Like the main SDC, the mini Smart Driving Challenge will use Greater Than’s AI-generated feedback and smart scores to encourage participants to drive in a safer and more sustainable manner. The event will run between 10th June and 12th June.

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) has joined the Consultative Committee of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS) following a decision by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

The first ever United Against Online Abuse Conference has taken place, bringing together international sporting federations, politicians, and tech companies FIA President, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, said: “I thank all who have pledged their support for this coalition and urge the wider global community to come together and join us in this important fight.”

The conference, hosted at the FIA’s Paris headquarters, will bring together international sporting federations, social media platforms, and politicians Speakers include FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, UNESCO’s Assistant Director-General Gabriela Ramos, and FIFA’s Paul Murphy

More than 100 delegates attended the three-day event.

The event took place in Porto, ahead of the WRC Vodafone Rallye de Portugal. The packed agenda saw WRC share a raft of new announcements – including the launch of the Championships’ Sustainability Roadbook, a new programme to encourage female participation in rally, and the launch of a new partnership with the ESA. Featured speakers included the European Space Agency’s Guillaume Prigent and rally legends Michèle Mouton, Pernilla Solberg, and Burcu Çetinkaya. It was held in partnership with WRC Beyond Rally and ACP.
