The DS 3 WRC crew of Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle claimed an emphatic victory in Rally de Portugal today, the pair dominating from the second stage of the event to win by 29.7 seconds. A titanic battle developed between the Volkswagen crews and Andreas Mikkelsen and Anders Jaeger overhauled reigning World Champions Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia to take the second step of the podium.

DS 3 WRC driver Kris Meeke takes a 45.3 second lead into the final day of Rally de Portugal, the fifth round of the FIA World Rally Championship. The Northern Irish driver lost some ground to Sébastien Ogier this afternoon but remains in control of the leaderboard with four stages and 67.32 competitive kilometres remaining. After a great battle with Dani Sordo, Andreas Mikkelsen moved ahead of the Spaniard to fill the remaining provisional podium position.

DS 3 WRC driver Kris Meeke continues to dominate Rally de Portugal and the Northern Irishman now has more than a minute in hand to second-placed Sébastien Ogier. The battle between Dani Sordo and Andreas Mikkelsen has raged throughout the morning, with Mikkelsen inching ahead of the Spaniard in the final test of the morning’s loop of stages.

In his first competitive outing since February’s Rally Sweden, DS3 WRC driver Kris Meeke has returned to the FIA World Rally Championship on fighting form, the Northern Irishman pulling out an impressive 31.9 seconds to lead Rally de Portugal. Behind him, Sébastien Ogier holds second and Dani Sordo is third in the top Hyundai after a day of mixed fortunes for the team.

DS3 WRC driver Kris Meeke has powered into the lead of Rally de Portugal this morning, the Northern Irish driver pulling out an impressive 11.5 second advantage after just under 70 kilometres of competition. World Rally Championship leader Sébastien Ogier is second and Dani Sordo heads Hyundai’s challenge in third position.
