As the COVID-19 pandemic puts real world racing on hold for the moment, motor sport has turned to the virtual world for its on-track thrills.

And to mark the incredible rise of Digital Motor Sport, and to encourage fans to stay at home during the crisis, the Federation’s regular free-to-air video package of motor sport highlights, will become a new series – #RaceAtHome the FIA Digital Motor Sport Magazine.

Set to launch on Wednesday 6 May at 6pm CET, the star of the first edition of the new show is none other than F1 driver Lando Norris.

The McLaren star has been a digital racer for as long as he can remember and in our exclusive interview he gives FIA Digital Motor Sport Magazine host and former racer Bruce Jouanny the low down on his state–of-the-art racing rig, reveals which virtual series he enjoys most, and explains why he’s delighted with the increased exposure Digital Motor Sport is getting.

“I’m very happy to see more and more people – more F1 drivers, more F2, GT3, LMP drivers – getting into Digital Motor Sport and hopefully having a bit of fun,” says the F1 star. “But the competition is not just for real drivers. It’s also for people at home who don’t get an opportunity to drive a real car. That side of things has grown a lot, which is very good to see.”

FIA Digital Motor Sport Magazine featuring Lando Norris will launch this Wednesday at 6pm CET across the FIA’s social media networks. The full interview with the McLaren driver will also be available on FIA.com later in the week.
