RAA Road to Recovery: From the Classroom to the Crash Site and Beyond [AAA, Australia]

08.03.26

South Australia is larger than France, Germany, Italy, and the UK combined — yet home to just 1.8 million people. Regional roads account for nearly 70% of road deaths from communities making up just 22% of the population, and help can be five, ten, even 15 hours away. RAA’s Road to Recovery connects every stage of the road safety journey: education from preschool to seniors, emergency response training for volunteer first responders and aeromedical crews who are often the only help on regional roads, and an annual youth event bringing lived experience and recovery support to the next generation of drivers.
