OAA first Club to go live with FIA “white label” website

Following the digital plan launched by the Emirates Motorsports Organization (EMSO) in March to support Clubs within the ACTAC sub-region in providing Mobility services and products, the Oman Automobile Association (OAA) was the first Club to go live.

The innovative scheme, the first of its kind in the digital community, follows an audit of digital capacity worldwide undertaken last year which highlighted a lack of capacity in some countries.

“The pandemic and the changing customers’ need for a low-touch society has given this project extra importance and urgency”, said EMSO President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who is also FIA Chairman of the Arab Council of Touring and Automobile Clubs (ACTAC) and FIA Vice President of Sport for the MENA region.

“Digital has become more vital than ever not just for Mobility but also for Sport, so we are pleased to have helped the full sub-region launch a quality presence.”

The FIA funded scheme managed by ATCUAE/EMSO on behalf of ACTAC took five months to complete and is based on a “white label” concept where local content is added to an FIA template. EMSO has a track record in the field having already developed the International Driving Permit and Carnet de Passage websites as a service for mobility consumers and Clubs.

"We are pleased to be the first club to go live with the service which is focused on marketing both IDP and CPD products as well as other Club activities in both Arabic and English”, said OAA Chairman and Brigadier (Retd.) Salim Ali Khalifa Al Maskiry “We want to thank FIA Region I and Mohammed Ben Sulayem for making it happen."

Now that the project has been completed EMSO President explained that they are happy to make the service available to any other Club in the FIA community who wishes to do so by contacting Veronika Falinska, Project Manager, at veronika@emso.ae.
