The Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM) has endorsed the Technology Transfer Apprenticeship Programme (TTAP), which aims to cultivate highly skilled talents in motor sport. The programme, established and run by Persona Energy in collaboration with Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera, has recently produced 95 graduates.

The programme was developed to nurture Malaysian talent by creating a platform to bring young aspiring engineers and technicians to the international stage through motor sport.

Through strategic partnerships with global automotive manufacturers and race teams around the world, the programme focuses on technology, engineering, data acquisition and structural organisation, as well as learning data simulation, live telemetry and involvement in race strategy planning.

The programme's trainees have found success on the world stage, as evidenced by their involvement with Team JOTA in the FIA World Endurance Championship in Bahrain and the United Kingdom.

The latest expansion into the two-wheel industry included an apprenticeship with PETRONAS Malaysian Cub Prix Champions - 31 Racing.

Malaysian international racer Jazeman Jaafar, who is also executive director of Persona Energy and a TTAP mentor, believes the Technology Transfer Apprenticeship Programme will enhance the automotive skills and knowledge of local talent by training them in the industry.
