Lancia set to enter the FIA World Rally Championship’s WRC2 category in 2026
Team Lancia Corse HF will enter the FIA World Rally Championship’s WRC2 category in 2026, fielding two Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale cars from the opening round of the season at Rallye Monte-Carlo.

The programme will reply on PH Sport for operations, with Didier Clément appointed as Team Principal. The entry marks Lancia’s first official presence in the FIA World Rally Championship since the early 1990s.
French driver Yohan Rossel will contest the season alongside Bulgarian driver Nikolay Gryazin. Rossel, who has built an extensive international career within the Stellantis Group’s rally programmes, progressing through national competition to claim the FIA WRC3 title in 2021 before finishing as FIA WRC2 Vice-Champion in 2025. Gryazin, brings significant experience across a wide range of surfaces, having previously secured the FIA ERC Under 28 title and the FIA WRC2 Challenger World Championship.
The pairing will reunite at Rallye Monte-Carlo under the Team Lancia Corse HF banner, marking a symbolic return for one of the most successful manufacturers in the championship’s history. Lancia remains one of the most decorated names in world rallying, with 11 FIA World Rally Championship Manufacturers’ titles and a record number of victories at Rallye Monte-Carlo.
Marina Duñach, FIA Rally Category Manager, said: “The confirmation of Lancia’s entry into WRC2 as a manufacturer-backed team for 2026 is a positive development both for the FIA World Rally Championship and rallying in general. Having Lancia back in the Championship as manufacturer, competing directly in WRC2 under its own banner strengthens the sporting interest of the championship and underlines the relevance of Rally2 as a key level within the FIA rally pyramid.
“Alongside the existing programmes in WRC2, the arrival of Lancia adds further depth and credibility to the category , reinforcing its role as an important competitive and developmental platform within the championship.”
Roberta Zerbi, CEO of Lancia, said: “Lancia’s return to world rallying represents an important step for the brand. Yohan and Nikolay bring complementary experience and a clear understanding of the demands of modern rallying. Together with the work carried out by Team Lancia Corse HF, this programme allows us to approach the 2026 season with focus and confidence as we begin this new chapter at Rallye Monte-Carlo.”
