Race 1 Frederik Vesti (Prema Powerteam) got the better of polesitter David Schumacher (US Racing) at the start and settled into the lead.

Igor Fraga (DR Formula by RP Motorsport) gained second position, following a start from fifth on the grid, demoting Schumacher further down the order.

The Brazilian, however, lost a piece of the front wing, and had to nurse the car, acting as a cork in a bottle, with Schumacher, Lirim Zendeli (US Racing), Enzo Fittipaldi (Prema Powerteam) and Jake Hughes (KIC Motorsport) all forming a train behind him.

Schumacher was putting pressure on the Brazilian but eventually made an error of judgment, run wide and allowed Zendeli to pass and take second. Fraga eventually got passed by both Schumacher, Hughes and Fittipaldi.

Meanwhile Vesti claimed his second win of the weekend and, with Fittipaldi down in fourth, moves himself even closer towards the title.

Due to a starting procedure infringement, Schumacher was penalised with a drive through that took him to the back of the pack.
