David Schumacher and Enzo Fittipaldi shared pole positions during Formula Regional’s qualifying held in drizzly conditions at Circuit de Catalunya.

Schumacher nearly completed a qualifying hat-trick, having lost race one pole position and being demoted to third only after runs by Enzo Fittipaldi and Frederik Vesti late on in the session when the conditions improved.

The Brazilian enjoyed a good qualifying – apart from taking his second pole of the year, he will also start races two and three from the front row.

Championship leader Fredrik Vesti will start the first race from second on the grid, having also qualified third for races two and three.

Making his category debut, former Red Bull junior Dan Ticktum started of his qualifying effort with sixth place in the session determining starting order in race one and two fourth places.

Winner last time out at Imola, Igor Fraga, struggled in the wet and will start from 10th, eighth and ninth respectively.
