Race 2 began on a wet track and despite the warm sunshine, wet tyres were the order of the day. At the start, Fittpaldi (Prema Powerteam) attempted to snatch the lead from Blomqvist (KIC Motorsport), but in doing so briefly lost second position to his teammate Vesti.

14’ from the end a great overtaking manoeuvre saw Fittipaldi triumph over Blomqvist and in his wake followed Vesti, demoting the Finnish to third. Just a couple of laps later, Caldwell (Prema Powerteam) eased past Blomqvist, producing an all-Prema podium. Under pressure, Fittipaldi ran wide and though he briefly managed to retain the lead, Blomqvist was finally able to get by.

With 2’30” remaining, an impressive pass put Sophia Floersch (US Racing) ahead of her compatriot and teammate, race 1 winner, David Schumacher.

In the final stages of the race, Vesti was the fastest man on track, while Fittipaldi lost contact, enabling Olli Caldwell (Prema Powerteam) to gain ground. Vesti took the chequered flag, followed by Fittipaldi and Caldwell, just behind the Brazilian. Australian Joey Mawson (Van Amersfoort Racing AV) and Sophia Floersch both enjoyed impressive showings, ending the race fourth and fifth respectively.
