The FIA has welcomed the progress made by the ACO and IMSA in the development of the common Le Mans Daytona “h” platform eligible for both the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

An overview of technical regulation has been released today. The President of the FIA Endurance Commission, Richard Mille, has labelled this fact as an important step in order to set up the discipline for the future.

Richard Mille, President of the FIA Endurance Commission, said: “I am delighted with the fact that despite the difficult circumstances, the ACO and IMSA kept on working hand in hand and were able to outline further technical details of the LMDh platform. To have cars being able to fight for overall victories in top classes of endurance racing on both sides of the Atlantic is something vital to the future of our sport and a very attractive proposition for potential manufacturers.”
