The European Truck Racing Association [ETRA] and the Real Automóvil Club de España [RACE] today announce exciting new plans for the Spanish round of the 2019 FIA European Truck Racing Championship at Jarama this October.

The Jarama event has been on the FIA ETRC calendar for decades, but now is the start of a new era with RACE being direct event organiser and local partner for the first time.

A new-look event, which will bring down the curtain on the 2019 FIA ETRC campaign will feature a host of key attractions in addition to its already hotly anticipated status as the final round of the season.

A feast of top-class truck racing will be on offer to fans over the weekend of 5/6 October with the FIA ETRC finale of four races being complemented by new Spanish Truck Racing Championship support events.

Traditionally, Spanish entrants have joined the cream of Europe’s best truck racers, but for 2019 they will get standalone races to showcase their own skills during the action-packed weekend.

The Spanish Truck Racing Championship, which is being formed for 2019, is also set to see an additional race weekend on Saturday 13thApril. This will be a maiden event and is planned as a warm-up for the feature races later in the year.

Jarama has been on the FIA ETRC scheule for many years and has enjoyed a close relationship with thrilling events witnessing some highly memorable occasions.

The ETRA and RACE organisations are combining this season to extend and enhance the heritage of the event and to make it more fan friendly than it has ever been.

As a result, the FIA ETRC will embrace an ‘open paddock’ policy of allowing full access for fans to engage with the teams and drivers throughout the weekend at the FIA ETRC Fan Village and many other key attractions at the venue.

A true festival of truck racing, entertainment and industry will be promoted throughout the year with RACE and ETRA informing fans of what to expect on the run up to the big weekend.

Further details on paddock animations, activations and specifics on timetables for the event in October will be released shortly.
