A specially held transportation and logistics forum took place at the Hungaroring today to discuss the latest industry trends and hot topics of mobility.

A specially held transportation and logistics forum took place at the Hungaroring today to discuss the latest industry trends and hot topics of mobility.

Representatives of the logistics, transportation HGV haulage industries attended the V4 Logistics Forum, as well as executives from oil companies and financial service businesses.

Presentations and discussions commenced throughout the day, utilizing the characteristics of the Hungaroring race track, unique interactive programs and test drives for some of the attendees.

The whole event was attended and introduced by Péter Szijjártó Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, who welcomed the delegates.

“I would like to warmly welcome everyone to this forum held on the eve of the 2018 FIA European Truck Racing championship round here at the Hungaroring,” said Szijjártó.

Speakers today included from Slovakia, Peter Varga, Chief Executive Officer, Road Transport and Roads Section Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development, and also from Poland, Marek Chodkiewicz, Deputy Secretary of State of Road Transport, Ministry of Infrastructure and Development

From Czech Republic came Ing. Eduard Muřický, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Speeches and discussions included topics such as ‘the he future of the transport industry,’ ‘alternative power for cargo transport’ and ‘smart logistics and innovative solutions: autonomous technologies, intelligent transportation systems.’

Talking about the forum and panel discussions, ETRA’s Georg Fuchs said: “This was a very stimulating and wide-ranging forum at Hungaroring today and exactly the kind of industry event the FIA European Truck Racing Championship welcomes as part of our race weekends.

“Our friends at TRP, [Hungarian promoters] and the Hungaroring should be congratulated for hosting this fascinating debate which will discussed many relevant topics to the visions that ETRA have for ensuring a direct and dynamic connection between trucks on the track and on the road.”
